Random life simulator — be born as anyone on Earth.

A random human is about to be born. Where, and to whom, depends on real birth data.

Random Life drops you into one random human life, picked the way babies are actually born: about 132 million a year, 1 in 6 of them in India, 1 in 3 in Africa and only about 1 in 10 in a rich country. In 8–12 moments you see where you were born, whether you went to school, what work you did, who you loved and how long you lived — then get an ending card with your odds.

How it works

  1. Press Start. A birthplace is drawn from 132 million yearly births, so India and Nigeria come up far more often than Norway.
  2. Watch 8–12 moments of one life: childhood, school, first job, love, family, a big move, old age. Two of them ask you to choose.
  3. Every event is rolled from that country's real rates (school completion, child mortality, marriage age, life expectancy).
  4. Get an ending card — country, years lived and your odds — and share it as a story (9:16) or a square.

Questions

What is a random life simulator?

A game that gives you one random human life, start to finish. Random Life weights every draw with real data, so the life you get is as likely as it is in the real world: you are 50 times more likely to be born in India than in France.

Is the birthplace really weighted by real data?

Yes. Countries are weighted by annual births from the UN World Population Prospects 2024 (about 132 million a year). School, work, marriage, children and lifespan are rolled from World Bank, UNESCO, ILO and WHO rates for that country.

How is this different from BitLife?

BitLife is a long sandbox where you make hundreds of choices in a made-up world. Random Life is a two-minute story with two choices, built on real statistics, ending in a card you can share. See the full comparison on our BitLife page.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Free, no sign-up, works on any phone. An optional $2.99 keepsake pass adds an HD certificate, a timeline image, three hidden chapters and a place on the visitor wall.

What are the odds of being born in the US?

About 1 in 37. Roughly 3.6 million of the world's 132 million babies each year are born in the United States — 2.7% of births.
